Version 8 SR24
(8.24.25281.15001, 2025-10-08) Windows 10
I believe my drivers are up to date
Started after latest update. Selections suddenly not outlined in rendered view. Green outline of selected object shows in shaded view. I work primarily in rendered view, so it’s become a real problem. I don’t want to shade-highlight the surfaces on the object (option under display mode) because then the whole object becomes green and I can’t see the edges.
Next, the c-plane issue has been persistent. I have to reset it constantly with cplane → world → top command. You can see in the screenshot that when I try to move the object, crosshairs are in yz planes instead of xy. Applies to all geometric commands. The origin is also constantly moving from 0,0,0 to a random point. Has started with latest update in all files. I’m having to manually set these every time, but the selection outline/highlight has not returned
What happens when you reset all options for the Rendered display mode to factory-defaults?
Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste its output here.

Update: The xyz axes are still mixed up (the only workaround is running the command cplane → world → top every time I open a file, which is annoying). I was however able to recover the selection highlighting in rendered view by doing a full reset (reset command and tick all the boxes). So halfway resolved.
