This does not happen to me after a reboot. It happens when Rhino slows down and starts to become unresponsive as I described in a previous post.

7.14.22010.17002, 2022-01-10 Since the last update, I have been encountering a issue where Rhino locks up while reading a file. “Quit” in the task manager will cause Rhino to bring up the save dialog so I can gracefully exit to some degree and restart.
