Bug: Arctic view only shows object colour in rhino 8

I recently updated the last released version for rhino 8 (8.13.24317.13001, 2024-11-12) and i’ve noticed that the arctic display mode only shows object colour and i’m not able to override the default version (all white). This is also happening with surface edges in arctic view.

I’ve replicated this in my personal machine and i managed to activate the default version (surface edges are not solved), but in my office computer it wont solve.

Usually i have an options import of all my display modes and configurations. Maybe this is getting in conflict the new version as i have displaymodes from older versions of rhino 8?

Hi Johan -

I’d try to delete the display mode from the Rhino Options -> View -> Display Modes page and then restart Rhino.

Can i erase the native display modes too? how can i recover them?

Hi Johan -

Yes, you can delete factory-default display modes. When you then restart Rhino, they will be recreated from scratch, making sure that they are pristine. I do that occasionally to make sure there isn’t some customization that is stuck somewhere.

oh no, it didn’t work. Arctic mode keeps using object colours. Are you able to replicate this?
