Bongo stops animation after one frame

Hello,
I have a problem rendering an animation in Bongo 2.0 with V-ray. The animation stops after rendering the first image. Batch render ist enabled. When I use the Rhino Renderer it´s working.
Some ideas?
thx

Did you check this this page out:

If none of that work, I’d suggest you get in contact with Chaosgroup support.

I am able to successfully render using bongo and vray. batch animation HAS to be enabled for it to work. Can you upload your file? that way I can look at it and see what it is your vray settings that is stopping it from working.

I have the same problem. I try to make a render animation using “view mode” as rendering option with Bongo using Rhino 6 but after the first frame Bongo does not continue. The only way to renderize the animation is to choose the Rhino Render engine. If you choose to use the current “view mode” Bongo starts but it make only one frame that call “_Unit=_Pixels. jpg” and then stops

I have not been able to reproduce this. Any chance that you could send a model showing this problem?
You can send it to marika.almgren@mcneel.com or upload it to me from here: https://www.rhino3d.com/upload

Hello Marika.

I do not believe that the problem depend from the model, however i can send it to you.

The problem occurs with any model. Yesterday I have been connected with Giuseppe Massoni with team viewer and I showed him the problem. I believe that you have recived a report about our meeting. also I made another attempt, thinking that the problem depended from my PC. I installed rhino 6 and bongo (both l’last version) on my laptop and the problem is presented again. The only frame that bongo make is “_Unit=_Pixels.jpg” and not in the indicate directory but in the main model directory

If you desire we can connect with team viewer and I will show you the problem.

Best Regards

Ok, we managed to figure out what was causing the problem and the fix will be in Rhino version 6.4 when it is out.

Hello Marika,

I have exactly the same problem on Bongo 2.0 (trial version) on Rhino 6. I have installed the latest version of Rhino 6.6. After the first frame rendered (in view mode) Bongo stops with this message in the Rhino command bar: " Erreur lors de l’enregistrement de limageCommande:_Undo / Annulation de : Document de Bongo : mode aperçu ".

Could you help me please ?

I thank you

Everything is working fine with me here.
What do you mean by:

Are you using the latest version of V-Ray?

Luc

PS. Marika is on summer holiday.

Hello Luc,

Thank you for your answer. I am not using the VRay plugin, in this case I just want to render in the preview render of Rhino 6 (not the Rhino renderer just the option render in the perspective window).

Kind regards,

OK, sorry, I misunderstood.
I ran a test with ‘Rendered’ Viewportmode. Indeed the message “Error saving image” occurs and not one image is saved, but only when the TGA file format is used for the output

All the other formats on the other hand do well, so hopefully you can manage with one of them.
I’ll make an entry on the bug tracker concerning the TGA.

Luc

For my part, I encountered this problem with JPG file format, I have just tested in BMP/TIF/TGA/PNG without success. I will wait for the correction of this bug, unfortunately my trial version of Bongo wil be expired.

I thank you.

Have a nice day.

I am wondering if it’s possible for you to send me a link with a trial of Bongo for Rhino 5 ? Because we are still using it.

I thank you.

Mathieu,
The trial works both with Rhino 5 and Rhino 6.
Best regards,
Luc

Perfect, I thank you.

Best regards,

Mathieu
