This dialog shows up when trying to end Block Edit session while some of the definition objects were hidden. The only possible outcome (while I find the dialog text confusing) is not including the hidden objects back into the definition, whether we pick Yes or No, while most of the time the objects hidden are by accident and we still want them in. There should be an option to unhide and include them, or at least Cancel option to go back to BlockEdit without losing what was edited and no need to re-include the hidden objects…
hi Pascal - yeah, that’s exactly what I meant. Good to see fix is there in WIP (still don’t use it for any production work so didn’t see it). V6 SR fix would be nice, but this is obviously not a critical fix, just need to be more focused while editing blocks and hiding objects now…
Hey @pascal is there a work-around or Script if we’d like the ability to just click OK, and have the Hidden/Locked objects unhide/unlock as we exit the Block by default?
Even with all the muscle memory I’ve built over the years, I’m still stopping dead in my tracks each and every time I exit a block to make sure I click the “No” option.
Side Note & Feature Request: Though the “No” option is counter-intuitive for me, and I’ve never used the ability to remove geo from a Block in this way, I recognize it’s a subjective thing. So perhaps having the ability to set a Global Option to see/suppress this pop-up could be helpful?
i think default behaviour should be that hidden objects are automatically showed in case of exitting block editation. no need for the prompt. if i want to remove objects from the block i can do it manually.
