Hello there,
While working on a drawing I encountered a quite unpleasant problem.
I was drafting, going in and out of block editing and in between layouts and regular views, and at some point the BlockEdit window showed up out of nowhere. I thought I accidentally double clicked a block or something so I clicked Apply and this wiped my whole file clean of any geometry… I tried Undo and Apply again with the same result.
I thought it was a temporary bug, since I was actually working on other things (outside of the block allegedly being edited) before the BlockEdit window popped back into view, so I decided to restart I clicked Save, closed all Rhino instances, and opened it back again - the same BlockEdit window was open again and after closing it, the drawing would be wiped clean again.
I was under time pressure because I had a submission deadline, so I found a work around where I disabled the BlockEdit plugin, and after restarting I was able to open the file without BlockEdit running. However, having the BlockEdit plugin disabled meant that I would not be able to edit any other blocks in the file…
I exploded what I needed at the time since I had to submit my drawings and I needed to perform just a few extra edits, and submitted my drawings. However, I need to still work on my project and after enabling the BlockEdit plugin I am back to the same situation, with the small difference, that the BlockEdit window is no longer responsive. Whatever button I click on it, nothing happens.
The rest of the drawing is free to be edited, it does not function as it would in actual BlockEdit, with the small difference that if I try to edit a block I get the message, that BlockEdit is already running, so I can’t really do anything.
Please help with this bug. It is extremely annoying and I think that exploding all my blocks and having to rework them in a new file would be such a tedious task that I hope there is a way to fix this bug.
Thanks in advance!
