Back lighting

Hello, I am trying to learn how to add simulated LED strip lights behind an object for backlighting. In my example, I have evenly placed multiple point lights around the tv and under the toe kick. I have grouped each together, but is there a way to link each point light so if I control 1 it will change the rest? Is there a better way than to place individual point lights?

Along the base of the floor and the corner of the wall, the white strips are not trim but oversaturation of the light reflecting on the wall. I have the wall paint set almost to 0 (matte). What do I need to do to soften the oversaturation but still keep light around the tv and under the toe kick?

I am hoping there is a way to do this without using a plugin like grasshopper or the like.
Thank you

use an emitter material assigned to a sphere and then copy/ paste it around as needed. You can then adjust the emitter and it will adjust all the lights together.

pro tip, you can make a pipe (or a long thin surface) and assign an emitter to it and it will function like a flexible light source.

the “stripes” in this image are single surfaces with an emission material assigned to them.

Thank you Kyle. Do you have a video that walks me through using an emitter material?

just make any object, then make an emission material and assign it-

adjust intensity to get more light, adjust color to tint the light

in this scene, the pipe, the sphere, and the box have the emission material,

the red box has a simple plastic material assigned.
