When using the grasshopper - ArchiCAD live connection, can we use python in ArchiCAD to customize the ArchiCAD objects instead using the GDL?

No, not that I’m aware of.
Archicad objects are written in GDL, that you cannot substitute with Python for now.
The only thing you could do is govern the parameter values with Python scripts from Grasshopper, but that’s not the same as you want to do, and means that the internal structure of the object is still written in GDL.
