Appreciation for Rhino vs. Fusion 360

I am a new Rhino user, previously on Fusion 360 for (roughly, I don’t really remember) a decade. Whenever I made a many-piece Fusion 360 model it would slow down and crash at least every other day. It was crazy. It got to the point where I had to open second files for a single project.

Rhino is a far more stable platform; I am doing the same kind of historical sailing ship models with consistent speed and ZERO crashes. Other than me not being used to Rhino’s flexible planes, the only downside is arcs sometimes going crazy (yes, there are some fixes that work a lot of the time but not all the time). If I had known Rhino was so stable and fast I would have switched years ago. Thanks!

Welcome t family.
And thanks for the feedback.
Young may think more function are better but stable software, in the long run, made life easier.

I can handle thousands object in a single file for all day without a crash or a slow down. To me it matters.

Welcome!

I’m using solidworks which is similar to fusion weekly the speed and freedom in Rhino is some of the things which sets it apart from the rest and makes things so much easier compared.

Godspeed on using this tool for your future endeavors!
