Angled Notches for Laser Cut / CNC Fabrication

Hi everyone,

I am trying to create a reciprocal frame for laser cutter or CNC fabrication. So far I have created the pattern and populated onto a surface, but I am struggling to find a way to cut out the notches. I looking for advice to find a logic to create those notches, and hopefully it can work on other surfaces.

At the point of intersection you create a box/cylinder, move it up/down maybe rotate/scale and than you can subtract the box of your geometry. In best case before you thicken it to avoid boolean operations. Have a look at waffle skripts, they do often the same.
