Accessing To Room/From Room Parameter for Doors

I am trying to create a script that will renumber all doors that I’ve queried so that their mark is the same as either the “To Room” or “From Room” room number parameter that can be seen in schedules. I have tried inspecting the elements and the type, but I can’t figure out how to access this parameter.

I know how to change the parameter once I have it, I’m just looking for how to access the parameter so I can feed it into an “Element Parameter” node.

I know there are some plugins out there that renumber doors, but I want the flexibility of control that I get using my own script (also some of the plugins cost money).

Check out the Component Neighbors component found in the Topology tab.

Is there a way to set these parameters? Using an Element Parameter Component is not working as I expected.

Hi Liam,

That is a read only property.

You want to do this through a schedule.

then it will allow you to switch rooms without flipping the swing.
