Abyssal viewport rendering performance for textures on Intel Iris Plus graphics 10th gen i7 (1065g7)

Hi ! I’m getting really abyssal performance and crashes for “rendered” view with Intel Iris Plus integrated graphics (OpenGL) on a 10th gen i7 laptop.

It is far worse (think at least 10 times slower when it doesn’t crash alltogether) than the fairly usable 5 years old Intel UHD 520 integrated graphics on my older laptop.

Other modes of the viewport, ghosted, shaded etc work fine.
Simple stuff without textures in rendered mode works fine.

(note that Blender have also experienced performance issues for this particular GPU :
⚓ T71287 Blender Running extremely slow on Intel IRIS and Windows . Seems they have been able to code around.)

My Win 10 and drivers are up to date, see detail below.

Does anyone have a workaround ? Or does McNeel have this issue on the radar ?
Or will i have to look for a light laptop for which cleaner drivers are available (ouch, complicated from Argentina these days without planes and with currency restrictions … ) ?

This machine does not meet our min spec, Intel graphics are very well documented as being inadequate for rhino. Poor performance is not a surprise.

you may get a small boost in performance using teh intel denoisers but it will be a minimal increase at best.
