[8.5 new GUI error/horror] Coordinates spacing

Version 8 (8.5.24044.18002, 2024-02-13)

More wasted space than ever.

Question: does someone actually find useful to have the world coordinates showing / constantly updating in there?!

Yeah, that is bizarre and also happens in Windows Rhino.

V7 has 3 separate boxes for X, Y and Z, but it still takes up the same space.

They can also display CPlane coordinates. True, I never really look there, but some people might I guess.

I’d prefer to see the same number of digits on all coordinates.

Because you actually use those?

I look at the coordinates often. In V7, as you can see above, the coordinates have 3 digits also if it is 0. The values would stay in place. With the new display style in V8 the values jump left / right if one or more coordinates is 0 because the digits are missing. I think three separate fields would be better.

I agree, it’s unreadable like this – and I am surprised that someone would actually read those

Anyway, those are taking up too much space, always more.

Finally, in SR11 RC the panels are back.
Very good.
