4k Laptop Display + Rhino 8 = not useable

I am using an 17" 4K screen on a msi creator

How to deal with the horrible blurry interface in Rhino 8?
Rhino 8 is the only application I use that shows these issues.

I stayed away from Rhino 8 for a while now hoping this will get fixed, but the issue is still there.

the “recommended” setting for my display is 250%. Which works fine for all other apps and which is also the size I want to keep.

I think it should really work out of the box after install. 4k is kind of the new standard.

Can I do anything to fix this without messing up the scaling of other applications?

thanks,
Daniel

please post systeminfo and a screen shot of tools>options>view>display>open gl

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad with a 4K screen and I run it at 225% - it’s perfectly fine with V8, not blurry at all. My desktop has 2 27" 4K monitors at 150% - also fine.

Thanks guys for getting back.

I played around a bit with the compatability settings, and although everything is back to defaults, Rhino is now rendering fine on the 4k screen @250%

I really don’t know… maybe a registry value was “stuck” or I had a setting there from earlier WIP times that messed stuff up.

Weird! But glad it looks like it should now.

cheers,
Daniel
