3d curved objects camera glitching? Need help!

Hi there,

I’ve recently gotten Rhino 6 through my school and we’ve been receiving online tutorials this past week. However, I’ve been unable to participate effectively because when I create a 3D object with any kind of curve, (extruding 2D shapes included) I get coloured and broken glitches that appear when I move the camera around the object. This doesn’t happen to any cuboid shapes. I’ve tried ‘repairing’ the program, reinstalling and freeing up memory on my PC, but sadly to no avail…

Any help would be very much appreciated- I’ve attached pictures of the ‘glitch’ as well as my PC specs for any advice anyone can give

Hi @jgthrower94
Your graphics driver is ~6 years old. For graphics drivers, that’s not old, that’s archaic!

Open the notifications tab (little blue bell on the right side of the screen) and follow the link there. If there’s no link, you need to Google your way to a newer driver. The graphics card is still a little on the light side for Rhino 6, but updating the driver will hopefully get things working as they should!

HTH, Jakob

Hi Jakob,

Aaah, you’re right! Updating my ancient driver has sorted it out! Thanks so much for your help

All the best,
Jonathan
