I installed the driver after I installed the card—there has been one update since then—but since it caused some pretty serious errors in Rhino, I switched back to the version I had installed previously—the errors with the “bump” in the “Plastic” section, the “Metal/Roughness” slider in “Colors,” and the pixelated display of the materials were already present after the first installation

but did you use the clean install option, that’s the question. If in doubt, clean install again

I accidentally deleted the installation file for the driver I had installed—and I definitely won’t be installing the current version—because after that, it was almost impossible to work with Rhino.

First, I need to see if I can even work with Rhino again—and then I can give you the info—but the “Viewport Resolution Sharpness” slider isn’t all the way at the end (i.e., at its sharpest), and even when I turn it up, the display doesn’t change—and then I’ll connect my new Eizo monitor that just arrived.

still your thumbnails look very pixelated. With all sliders to the max, running TestClearRDKCaches should fix that. Make sure to restart rhino after that.

Sometimes I think—these computers are a nightmare. Yesterday I turned the slider all the way up and entered the command—after restarting, everything was just like before. Just now I set the slider to the maximum again, executed the command, restarted Rhino, and lo and behold—the pixelation is gone. Let’s see if it stays that way—but now I’m going to connect my new Eizo monitor. Thanks for your help.

Oh yeah—I’d love to see pictures of that project, too. The rims I put on there are 17-inch rims with low-profile tires—those cars often come with 14- or 15-inch rims, but I prefer it when you can see more rim and less tire.
