yak version 0.12.16 (0.12.8137.16541) that ships with Rhino 7.17 sometimes fails to install package after successfully building it for unknown reason with the following error:
“ERROR: No Compatible distribution found for MyPackage (1.0.0)”
For example:
Failure does not occur with latest version (retreived from https://files.mcneel.com/yak/tools/latest/yak.exe) 0.12.14 (0.12.7901.20097), e.g.
Because “latest” is older than version that ships with 7.17, not clear if this is a new issue or old one. Also, any logs and/or verbose output avail? would be very useful for troubleshoot these types of issues.
