XNurbs Licensing Service is Down

FYI, to save others the trouble of trying to figure out “error 35” and “error 4”.

The XNurbs Licensing service, is run through wyday.com along with apparently a lot of other software licensing services.

This is wyday.com now and for the past two days.

XNurbs plug-in will not start in Rhino until the servers come back online.

Yes, I sent the email this morning. This is their reply.

I hope they release the new version on Rhino Cloud Zoo — at least that would be a step forward.

on the webpage now from the wyday company:

There has been nearly a day of downtime – restoration efforts are in progress

There has been nearly a day of downtime at a critical datacenter due to a power failure followed by an HVAC faliure.

All of your data is safe and will be restored as it was before this downtime took place.

We’re working as rapidly as we can to restore service, followed by posting a blog post detailing what went wrong, and actions to ensure downtime this long never happens again.

I truly apologize for the downtime.

Got the exact same email.
Gotta feel for the xnurbs guys, they are just about to replace the licensing system and on its last days the old system gives them a royal kick in the behind.
Gotta feel with xnurbs users (e.g. me, amongst others) more though.

Hope this gets resolved sooner rather then later.
To much hussle to import/export to plasticity.

Did you happen to ask if the new licensing system is based on Rhino’s Cloud Zoo?

No, sorry. I just emailed support and got the standard response like everybody else I guess.

Just to let everybody know: the server is up again and everything seems to work fine now.
