Yeah, I wonder …
But I don’t get why they show all the tangent edges, though.
And I guess it’s a bit buggy still (there’s no meshes in this shot):
EDIT: Actually, no it’s a new Beta bug… here’s my Technicolor viewport mode on that same object (which has worse, grainy shading in V9 than V8 sadly):
And here it is shaded…

@eobet do you see this on all objects? If it is object specific, can you send that object?

All objects all files for me. Again, done a lot of factory resetting and OptionsMigrate, so settings should be clean/transferred from V8.

I will try to reproduce this by loading your display setting in Rhino 8 and then an option migrate.

@eobet I can’t reproduce this here.
As for the grainy shadows, this can be fixed by increasing the skylight slider from 0 to 3-4
pls run _SystemInfo and post back the results. And from Rhino BETA, if you can run OptionsExport and send the .rhs to me I can at least verify if it something in the options itself or something else.

Any way to turn off ambient occlusion? In V8, the technical shadow mode had more of a toon shader look which suited it better, imo.

hi @eobet
I think I found the cause of what you are seeing, can you confirm you were using (rotated) blocks?
