Rhino 7 freezes when you load in a worksession file and try to open the context menu (right click on the worksession item in the layer manager) It will unfreeze after a long time, but the menu does not appear anyways. Makes switching between active sessions impossible.
Tried it on 3 machines, might be related to our server setup, as it is causing problems elsewhere. I don’t see how the two would be related though as the worksession is of course loaded into local memory when attaching.
Didn’t think of that somehow, but I just tried it and you’re right, it works. Must be related to this issue then:
Something about certain NAS / Apple Server setups has been broken for months now, Rhino is the only program to struggle with it at our workplace.
I really hope we can find a solution for both soon, it’s killing productivity around here. Thanks anyways, at least we have a hunch about why its not working then
Hi Max -
I see from that other thread that you are running a Mac server.
I also see that @brian tried to reproduce the issue with a Mac server and specifically asks:
So… I guess I need more guidance about how to specifically set up a network share that crashes Rhino.
Perhaps you could provide more details in that thread?

We’ve actually managed to reproduce this here with a customer; we’ve made a first (ineffective) fix, and are continuing to iterate on a solution. We hope to have a fix in Rhino 7 in the next couple months.
