I’m looking for a solution to the problem, over time when I work on files in worksession in rhino, it works slower and slower, the files don’t get bigger, and I don’t add textures, every now and then I’ll go into the file and change a few things and that’s it. Nevertheless, each subsequent session is getting worse, the files take longer to upload and the textures multiply with each input? I admit that I do not know what I am doing wrong and what is the reason for this?
Worksessions are a fabulous workflow, but somehow, they have been botched.
I don’t know what it is ; memory management perhaps ?
But when you right click on one of those large attached layers, Rhino falls in a coma, just like if he was loading the file 100 times in memory for nothing.
I just want to detach, or update, but simply trying to access these options takes MUCH too long.
It ruins the whole concept.
Exactly, when I put together a small project on it, it works very quickly and quite smoothly, but even after a while smaller projects start to run slower. The biggest problem I have is with large projects, it becomes a bigger problem than one large file. I tried to work this way on an apartment project with my colleagues, but putting it together and releasing the visualization with materials was very difficult and simple activities took a lot of time. I’ll try to see if it works on Rhino 8, because it was very resistant on Rhino 7.
Its a private youtrack due to the users uploaded file. The release target is 8.7 but currently marked needs testing but not in the current build. You can see if a fix for a specific youtrack is available by running the GetIssueState command and inputting the youtrack # (in this case RH-81197)
