Working in Blender from Rhino

Hey, it’s has been bothering me for a while..
How do I change the settings in Blender / Rhino to work smoothly with sculpting in Blender?
I exported the mesh with high polygons, and also subdivided it in Blender. Yet it gives these voxels
Any suggestions?

Have you already tried quad re-meshing your text geometry and exporting it as an OBJ, instead of an STL?

I can confirm that this works!

First make your TextObject and extrude it. Then quad re-mesh it with appropriate settings to get a neat and tidy quad mesh, which can be exported as OBJ into blender.

Hey @diff-arch
I tried what you suggested, but it’s not working. What numbers do you use when quad-remeshing?

My aim is to create a texture on the surface as well as smooth the edges.

I used a Target Quad Count of 500, but you should dial that in for your specific model. You’re looking for a quad mesh with relatively even mesh quads.

What exactly is not working?

It seems like it takes the upper surface as a ‘separated thing’, I used 3000 target Quad count, still not fine enough.

I exported subD to obj and it works now
