Wish: paint brush point selection on one side of object

The point brush selection currently selects points on both sides of an object. I would like to toggle selection to only the points on the side of the surface I am looking at.

Coes CullControlPolygon work with point clouds?

I noticed that CTRL doesn’t deselect points when using the paint brush Selection tool.
Is there a fix for this in R5?
