Wish List item: SINGLE STROKE FONT

I played around with the sample font.
It is quite good, and also looks pleasing.

I inspected very closely and found something I have to ask.
As an example, look at the ‘n’ in the lower left.
There is a tiny element, and the vertical path doesn’t match the horizontal path.
Is just an oversight, or is this as expected?

Hi Charles, thanks for touching in on this. Good catch, and it was an oversight. The file available for purchase has been updated, and this small piece won’t be in the font.

I think i need this… Can you share it again?

Hi -

You are replying to a 10-year-old post. Could you describe what problem you are having with the single stroke font that ships with Rhino?

Ha, yeah, noticed this later. I was sent a dwg and asked to swap a number of tags for a single line stroke font for engraving. The company regularly uses a font called CNC Vector in Rhino, but R8 crashes when i select it and R7 doesn’t display it correctly. My alternative is to try a different kind of single stroke font. I found MecSoft which seems to work but i am not sure if i can easily get this to work for this company’s milling software and machine(?).

Another thing i did was to swap the texts for the Grasshopper engraving geometry, but this might be heavily slowing down their nesting software. Thanks for inquiring though. Will probably know more on monday…

Hi -

Rhino 7 and 8 ship with the "SLF-RHN Architect` font for this purpose.
