Hi guys,
It’s been some time since I realized, or started thinking that the group functionality in GH is very limited.
For some time now I have been using the script provided by @DavidRutten in this thread:
But after some time that too became tedious and limited for some definitions or workflows.
I always try to keep my defs tidy and understandable, ever for others, or even myself after a long time of not opening said def…
But grouping and adding labels is so tedious…
- Only one default color for all type of groups…
- You have to individually bring forward or backwards a group to be able to edit it…
- To change labels you must search each one along the definition
Imagine if you had LAYERS for each group…
- You could change the colors of each groups on the fly…
- Have different types of groups, for example for sliders, for data management operations, for geometry operations, for heavy computing operations.
- All your labels would be nicely organized to the right or left, and easy accessible to edit anytime…
- You could have subgroups, with different colors…
I am interested to know what everyone thinks about this…
Can we at least have GH identify a subgroup (group withing a group) and have a different default color for those?
