yes i would love to see a fail for pull = No imagine the same example not with 2 mm distance resulting in a 5 degree Corner, but with some 0.01mm distance (and 0.001 document tolerance) and a 1.2 degree Corner… the gain / profit: if you set up everything in a proper way, you can be sure things come out nice. So the problem is in this attachment select the red curve run Trim select part of the surface, The trim happens. The user thinks this is an error and wants an option for different trim behavior.

I have some sympathy for this user. The user does the trim and then expects join to work but it fails. The reason is that Trim is so complex no one knows what it does and it surely doesn’t ensure the curve is within model tolerance. To highlight my “no one knows…” point. There is no pull involved here the line is extruded in the direction of the cplane normal and intersected with the surface to construct the trim curve.

I have no plans to change anything. But we’ll leave it on the wish pile for future consideration.
