Hello!
(Can’t find the Youtrack entry, so here we go again…)
Display modes should not (only) be part of ‘Rhino Options’, but occur also in ‘Document Properties’ / be saved with the document!
Reason: when setting up Layouts (and not only there), the display mode is a very important part of how the plangraphics will look like. As it is, when passing the file along to colleagues, the display modes in use have to be exported, copied, and installed on the other seat. This has proven to be cumbersome quite often.
Even when opening an older file of myself, I often lost the display mode and have to fiddle around to fix it. (I even put a little remark next to Layout Details as a reminder which mode was used, should it get lost.)
It appears to be a contradiction if a Rhino option should effect only Rhino sessions, or also the document, but I’m sure a solution can be found…
Maybe when a file is loaded with new or other display modes, they are merged into Rhino options somehow smart.
Thanks!
