If you have considered this, then I think this thread has some good suggestions to at least revisit the idea. Direct shortcuts if implemented in a smart way in Rhino could give the UI yet another great boost.
( and no, the idea is not to have “L” fire up all the L… commands, rather allow to assign any action to instant key press, like Keyboards Shortcuts do in Rhino currently. The question is how to access/enable this mode without breaking what currently works well in Rhino )
