WiP won't read stp file

image

V7 opens it instantly:

Sorry for throwing this many things on you today but I have found some time to play and discover.

Hi @Piotr,

Any chance we can get the STEP file?

– Dale

Sure.
File attached.
Spegel mont. I eloxerada alu.list.stp (128.5 KB)

Thanks @Piotr,

Seems to open with an internal WIP build I am running.

Can you run SystemInfo? Perhaps we can gleam something from it.

Thanks,

– Dale

Hope it helps. Maybe it will shed the light on more p[problems I am having:

That file also opens here with no problem in the V8 WIP. Piotr, are you running Windows in English? Does it make any difference if you remove the internal ‘.’ from the file name and just have the one for the extension?

-Pascal

Yes, I am running the English version.
No, changing the name to very simple one didn’t help. There is one difference though: no warning message at the entry but the file is empty. No layers, no content.

@tim - any idea what could be going on here?

-Pascal

Piotr - possibly unrelated but just making sure…
In one of your other posts, you mentioned a MBP keyboard. Are you running Rhino on Windows on a Mac?
-wim

Exactly.

Can you provide more information on that Mac? Perhaps run Rhino for Mac and post the SystemInfo data from that?
-wim

Would this be enough or you need a deeper config info?
