Hi,
I wonder why my gumball appears far away from the selected item?
I checked and there is nothing else far away, no lines to surfaces it just randomly just appears far away.
Hi Diana - you can place the gumball where you want:
When you RMB click-and-hold over the gumball, the gumball settings menu will open:
Clicking Reset Gumball
should place that back on the object.
Hello - if you Zoom Selected
in that state, does the zoom find that one object or does it zoom out to multiple (perhaps grouped, or blocked) objects?
-Pascal
it finds the object but the gumball is far away
Relocate Gumball didnt help it still remains far away from selected objects
I get that sometimes in the layout but resetting the gumball always fixes it.
@diana.daoud
If you can’t figure it out, please post a small sample file so we can have a look.
yes I just renamed it but its the exact same file.
How about GumballReset
, does that sort it out?
-Pascal
I am getting this exact same issue, it just started today.
Hi -
We’ll need more information about this…
Please run the Rhino SystemInfo
command and copy-paste the result here.
Did Pascal’s suggestion of resetting the gumball do anything useful?
Can you provide a 3dm file?

Resetting did nothing. aligning to cplane did do it… I have left it for a couple hours while i did something else, and now it does not show the same problem, now when you select a curve it goes automatically to the end of the curve instead of the middle… i go back an hour later, and now the gumball is in the middle of the object, and will only align to world, not cplane…
