I have two more questions regarding the installer:

  1. When a new Rhino version is installed, is the installer stored locally somewhere on the drive so I coild access it?

  2. Is there a way to download older and specific versions of Rhino?
    For example, I currently need installer:
    Version 8 SR22* (8.22.25201.15001, 2025-07-20)*
    When I run Check Now, I can only download:
    rhino_en-us_8.22.25210.13001.exe

    Since we develop our own plugin, we need better version control and access to specific installers that are known to be compatible.
    Also, when downloading from the Rhino website via
    https://www.rhino3d.com/download/rhino/latest/
    I receive:
    rhino_en-us_8.21.25188.17001.exe,
    which is different from both the one I currently have installed and the one offered via “Check Now.”

  3. Is there an official location where previous Rhino versions can be downloaded?
    This applies to both Rhino and Rhino.Inside.Revit.

Hi Michal,

I believe it downloads in the a temp folder.

The reason you are getting a different release is due to subscribing to the Service Release Candidate.

We don’t have a place to download older versions of Rhino or RiR, we always recommend to be on the latest.

i cant use the newer versions of rhino because of conflicts with other plug-ins. would you help me with a RIR version compatible with rhino v 1.18 please?

as near as i can tell you will need Rhino 8.10 Rhino.Inside®.Revit

Revit is working fine, but the latest version is asking me for a rhino version 8.21 or newer, I have 8.18

(1.18 was a typing mistake, I meant rhino 8.18)

1.32.9327.20567 is the latest one, but it won’t accept my rhino version.

Can you provide more information about the issue? I’m doubtful that rolling back Rhino and Rhino.inside.Revit will get you going. If you have Revit 2025.3 or above i would start by isolation from 3rd party addins.

Hi there, we are working with Revit 2024 and Rhino 7. We are awar, that it wll be more efficient/confortable to use both latests version but other facts lead to use theses version for this project.
It seems that the latest version of Rhino.Inside.Revit we can use is the 1.17, I found it in the GitHub but wedidn’t manage to generate th installer, (incompatibility with new versions of WIX Toolset).

I was wondering if maybe, you may have the installer of 1.17 Rhino.Inside.Revit, that would really help.

Hi Mateu, you can use the latest version in Rhino 7 and Revit 2024.

thank you very much. this is for student class on using rir with ladybug and honeybee. as some computers we cannot modify at the moment would be amazing if we could install exactly the same version on othet computers for students.

I made a photo of a working configuration we have at the moment.

i tried installing the latest version but it did no show rir icon in the revit ribbon, although it showed the rir is loaded in the extensions. revit os 2024.2

is it possible to get installation file for exactly this version, as this works on part of the computers with our configuration?
