What exactly is Hide Objects in Detail?
I’m confused by the fact that Ctrl + A (SelAll) selects objects hidden in detail. In Model View, SelAll only selects visible, unlocked objects.
This selection method does not select objects on layers that are hidden in detail.

There is also an issue with the window selection in Rhino 9 WIP. Window selection selects invisible objects. In Rhino 8 it doesn’t work this way.
anyways there must be some kind of hidden objects manager because right now its a guesswork
This is the same behavior in 7. Ideally in Hide Objects & Hide in Detail would have the same selection behavior, but I can see how this could be challenging to devs.
Not seeing anything in the youtracks, i’ll start a feature request to see what we can do in Rhino 9.
