That feature request is on the list as RH-78662 create import for USD

FWIW, if you have a recent iPhone or iPad, you could use iRhino to import the .usdz file…

Hi Wim,

Thank you for the update… Understood regarding irhino, it was this work flow that lead me down this path… bringing a scanned object from irhino into Rhino 8. The work around I found was a plugin for blender that allows the import of usdz files and then export as obj from there… then just wondered if was in the pipeline for rhino to have the same feature, so thank you for confirming and glad to see its on the list.
