Hi,
I am brand new to grasshopper and I am struggling trying to make a weaving pattern similar to that of a basket. The problem is that the members that make up the weave are not straight which is making this much harder. What I did was create closed ellipse- style curves and took vertical planes spaced 1’ apart to intersect them. I was then going to try and connect these points in the y direction alone. After I was going to somehow “amplify” these curves to get the up and down motion of the weaving. The last thing I was going to do was sweep these curves together to make 1’ wide members. If it matters I am on Rhino 5 Mac.
