Was Rhino 8 Shaded, Rendered, and Arctic mode changed?

Hello,

I decided to try the new rhino 8 yesterday but have a big issue with view modes. I want to catch the same view quality as Rhino 7. The images are taken with the default view settings.

Could anyone help me?

Hi Joshept -

Please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste the result here.

Your laptop graphics drivers are over 4 years old, it’s using generic Microsoft OpenGl that can’t do anything, and the hardware is not really adequate for Rhino 8…or 7 for that matter.

Oh, and it’s not actually using your RX 5500M. Man laptops are just garbage.

Make sure this is your primary GPU

You are right, I formatted my computer and installed Rhino 8 without any driver updates. Now, I am going to update my driver quickly. I will write here the result after it.

Actually, I graduated with this garbage laptop using rhino 7 without any issues.

Luckily your work didn’t challenge Rhino 7 on your laptop. You will undoubtedly find that Rhino 8 can’t do as much successfully since it’s hardware requirements increased noticeably.

I solved the problem by updating my graphics card’s driver. Thank you for all.
