WANTED source of Rhino drawn Imperial Nuts and Bolts

Hi,
Does anyone know of a source of Rhino drawn (not meshes, not step or iges, not drawn in solidworks etc, but Rhino drawn, Nuts Bolts to Imperial sizes.

Surely Rhino comes with a library of fasteners ?
The other progs do.

At least if its Rhino drawn there is no corruption likely, no knock on effects causing mayhem further into the project.

I used an online suggested source McMaster or something, and discovered later on it was meshes, the poly count sent my projects into a file save of 1.5Gb and deleting them just saw file size grow, meltdown was entered.

If I need a bolt and nut for 3/8inch, I want one quicko,

I dont want to be told how to draw one.

Perhaps we could have a sticky section on basic useful items at top of forum !

This plugin should be able to generate what you need, as you need it. It works for me on R8

No, it doesn’t.
No, “they” don’t. Some do.

Food4rhino.com has several options, including plugins for both Rhino and Grasshopper. I really like Boltgen, mentioned by @michaelkreft. It’s super stable and quick.

boltgen as mentioned very good

Go to mcmaster.com find the part you want click on the part, a pop-up description and an oportunity to download a cad version. I pick dxf because rhino has no problem opening it.

He did say he’d tried McMaster. I’ve never had any problems importing step files from them for use in my drawings.

I just remember following the advice in the thread link given, and the file size went off this planet.
