Wall style by gh

Why don’t wall systems or curtain walls support creating styles through GH (Grasshopper)? The built-in style library is insufficient to meet the requirements. For example, common details such as floor-to-ceiling windows often require more flexible adjustments than what the default curtain wall styles offer. Additionally, the corner details of curtain walls may not be intricate enough.

Hi @FlyFish,

We are working on that. I will let you know when we have it ready.

Which adjustments do you need? We might find a different way to do it in the meantime.

I agree, they should be improved. Do you have any special requests about this?

Hello,
It could be useful you have a possibility of dividing the facade (frames and glass panel) with different intervals ( I think to a randomly way or even better with a list of specific intervals).
Thank you

Hi @fn_a,

That will be possible using Grasshopper Styles when this feature is ready.

Do you have any news about the creation of wall style by grasshopper?
Thank you

Hi @fn_a the option to create walls from Grasshopper styles is included in VisualARQ3. It will be possible to insert doors and windows in these walls, and they also calculate their joints.

@fn_a @FlyFish just in case you haven’t tried it yet, in VisualARQ 3 is already possible to create curtain walls from Grasshopper styles:

You can see a tutorial of how it works here: Walls and Curtain walls - VisualARQ
