We are occasionally experiencing an odd behaviour on VRay Next for Rhino.
Sometimes, by assigning a material to a layer, the object contained in the layer doesn’t get it and the render doesn’t show the result. We have to assign the material directly to the object and then it renders correctly. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Thanks in advance.
Are you sure the object in question is set to material by layer?

No need to delete the post. I’m sure other users will run into the problem, and if they search the forums for solution this may be very well a very good answer.
