VisualArq cloud licence not working with latest Rhino8 SRC update

Hi all,

I am just sharing this in case someone else incurred in the same issue, but I am not sure whether it is a bug in the latest SRC (8.30.26082.23001) or it’s related to my software configuration.

Basically after updating to the latest SRC when Rhino started loading the VA plugin I got this error:

Please note that in the notification panel all the cloud licenses seem to have been found:

But when I tried to use VisualArq (any command, in this case the wall command) I got the following error (licence not found):

I then updated VisualArq to the latest version and checked the licence panel, discovering that it was running in “unlicensed mode:

At this point I tried changing the licensing mode from Cloud to Evaluation and then back to Cloud, but it didn’t solve the problem. I excluded a malfunction or error from the cloud licence server, since I had no problems on another machine that wasn’t updated to the latest SRC, so I decided to revert to the previous version (found in the download cache folder) :

This finally resolved the problem, but now I am not sure whether I can skip this update and wait for the next one, in order to avoid the same issue repeating.

Anybody experienced the same issue? Should I stick to regular Service Releases in the future and avoid the Candidate versions?

By the way, big thanks to @Francesc_Salla for his (always) prompt assistance and support!

Hi @Luigi_S it looks like this issue affected other plug-ins. But McNeel developers have already fixed it: https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-94282
I guess it will be available in the next RC or SR.
