Since yesterday, I’ve been having a problem where the raytraced viewport is no longer working correctly (maybe since the update to SR17).
Environmet lighting/reflections, and diffused shadows are no longer displayed. Instead, just a “hard” black shadow, which always remains the same (any viewing angle).
This only occurs in raytraced viewport; the “real” rendering works as usual (see images).
I’m using Optix in the render settings, but I’m experiencing the same issue with CUDA.
I’ve already updated the Nvidia (RTX 4070) drivers.
System: Windows 11 Pro.
Does this mean using the _Render command (or the blue render icon)? If that is the case then you may have adjusted the Raytraced mode settings. Revert them to their defaults to see if it is any better.
Raytraced and Rhino Render use the same engine and should look the same, except when you have made changes to your Raytraced display mode settings - those don’t carry over to Rhino Render.
Thanks, i uploaded the missing images. Left shows the raytraced Viewport, right the Renderoutput.
I already tried a lot, (realtime/hardware Rendering Settings, CPU/CUDA/Optix, switch between Rhino Render / Legacy Render, Driver-Update, …) but nothing worked.
I think it is not file dependent.
The same problem occurs with every file as soon as I switch to “Raytraced” in the viewport. All other modes (Rendered, Shaded, etc.) work.
