Hi there,
About a year ago, I had an issue with the viewing screen. It wasn’t always the same view that would act up. I would be working on a project and all of a sudden one of the views will go out of wack. For instance, the front view window will show perspective, while the perspective view window still shows perspective. Sometimes, a design that is centered at zero on the XY and Z will show correctly on 3 views but in the 4th view it shows the object shifted over. When these issues occur, I’m not able to get the views back to normal. I reached out the McNeel, and they told me that I need an external video card. Another option/bandaid was to do an undate of some sort. I can’t recall what I did, but it solved the problem and I didn’t have to get an external card. Unfortunately, the solution was provided to me in a chat bar and I wish I had kept the info for future reference.
This week, I’m running into the same exact problem. When I reached out the McNeel, I was told to _4View in Rhino a couple of times. That resets all views to the correct setting, but the problem ends up happening again after a couple of seconds or minutes more of work. So, _4View helps me to keep working but it’s not a long-term fix. Can anyone tell me what I need to update to get things working back to before? I’m up to date with the latest versions of Rhino 8 and so are my video card driver and Windows. See the attachment, which also shows _SystemInfo off of Rhino8 if that helps provide more info.
