Does anyone have experience with preserving vertex color from a mesh so that it can be used in rendering display setting?
Its popular now to get a 3d scan mesh with vertex color which simulates a texture better than having an enormous texture…
rhino display setting such as shade do a fantastic job… but when I want the power of rhino rendering for the output…
so I think I need to preserve the vertex color or convert to a texture… im guessing this is a command line level thing… it would be cool to have rhino render also vertex color in the future though since scan meshes are getting way more popular…
another thought… does the meshing process for pointclouds in rhino 8 create vertex or textures from the point colors? If so this workflow problem I have might be useful to others.
