Variable cross section with Kiwi!3D

When I try to add variable cross-section to a beam, the result looks weird : non-linearity of variations through the length of the beam, and even changes in the section orientation which I can’t rectify with the “AB” input of the beam component.
Is there a specific way to use the variable section component ?

Thanks in advance !

I don’t know what you tried but here is an example how you could use this feature. The AB input defines the orientation of the cross section and the input S can be used to define e.g. variating height of a rectangular section. The location is defned by the curve parameter t. Only same types of cross sections can be used. However, if you use Section by numbers, you are completely free but there won’t be any visualization. (25.0 KB)
