V8 Wish. Add Ctrl+Ins & Shift+Ins to annotation edit

Hi McNeel Team,

Could we have copying (Ctrl + Ins) and pasting (Shift + Ins) of text in v8 like we have it in v7?
I’m talking about any annotation text editing. Currently with Shift + Ins Rhino inserts the annotation object itself as nothing copied with Ctrl + Ins.
Btw, Ctrl + C/V still works. But v7 has combinations mentioned above.

Sorry for bumping.
Any comments on this?

Perhaps people are misled by your title and think you are asking for Copy/Paste, which already exists so they don’t read the post. Maybe changing it to “Ctrl+Ins & Shift+Ins for Copy/Paste don’t work in R8” or something like that will garner a better response.

Regards
Jeremy

Thank you, @jeremy5. Good point.
Changed the title.

Sorry, @wim for bothering you.
I’m not sure anybody from McNell team saw my message.
Could you please comment my asking?

Sorry for bumping, but this is so annoying after V7 experience.
@wim, @Gijs Could anybody from Team fix this?

This is the first time I even heard of this feature. I’ll examine tomorrow.

Hi Screamer -

Could you provide more information? So far, Ctrl+Insert and then Shift+Insert seem to behave the same way in both Rhino 7 and Rhino 8. I tested with both an annotation object and the text in an annotation object…

Hello, @wim and @Gijs .
Thank you for response.

What I found is the Ctrl(Shift)+Ins combination works for the floating edit window only, but not for the docked properties on the right.
Please see attached video.

Hi @wim and @Gijs ,

Have you seen my post above?
It seems to be an easy fix since it’s already presented in another form of the editor, right?

Bumping this up. Still need this working, please.

Hello @wim and @Gijs ,

Could you guys please create a Youtrack item for this wish?

@Screamer thanks for the patience,

Hello @Gijs ,

Any updates on this? It is more complicated to fix than I thought, right?

It seems this is not going to be addressed soon: As you can see the item is listed for 9.x
