Hi developers,
I would love to see a command Duplicate ( Ctrl+D ) in the Edit-menu after Paste.
Why? Because I (and perhaps others) am used to it from other programs.
And yes, I know there are thousand ways to do this by my own (Ctrl-C Ctrl-V, macros, copy InPlace, etc.)
Thank you for your time
Michael

What exactly would this do differently from the commands already in Rhino that do the (almost?) same thing?

Hi Michael - ctrl-D can run ! _Copy _Pause _InPlace
now, if you want, the difference is, you want to make it a default shortcut, correct?
-Pascal
Hi @Michael_Meyer ,
just for completeness, you might also add it from the workspace editor:
Open Tools/ToolBar Layout
From the menu choose Tools/Workspace Editor
Click on the Menus Tab and then on the Edit Tab
On the right under Macro library… , click on button New
Add Pascal’s Macro, for Script as shown below
Then drag the macro to the Edit Tab, below the Copy entry.

Hi Pascal,
yes, I would like to see a default shortcut.
Thanks
Michael
P.S.: Also I would like to see copy/paste for subobjects.
Hi AIW,
nothing different. For an old man like me, this would be easier, faster, and easy to remember.
Cheers
Michael
Hi Clement,
nice solution, thanks.
Michael
P.S.: Hi @pascal , sorry, now I’ve found this “input text field height much too small” glitch in Rhino 7 SR20 German. Can you add this to the bug tracker, thanks, Michael
