V8: UI color setting wishes

Hi guys, I’m working on updating V8 to our tools and with that I am looking at the GUI color scheme too.

Here are my wishes and finds so far:

  1. We need a control for the text backgrounds (Now white is the only option)
    (And I want this color as the background for the color panel too, as it is now the option for the “Content background” appears invisible. Maybe all the colors should have a black outline?)

  2. We need an option for the colors of these toggles too. Blue is not my preferred choice for selections

  3. The colors for “Light” and “Dark” are the same, these should be individual IMO, and the restore default restores all display modes, not only the active one. I do not want to fully restore my custom mode just because I want to restore the colors for “Dark”

  4. Import and export of color schemes is needed too, so we can save it and share it.

  5. And it would be nice to have full control over the colors for the light and dark scheme too. So we can customize them. So maybe we need more than just one Custom mode?

  6. Custom isn’t stored, if I click on Light and then custom then it just uses those colors, and if I then hit “Dark” and then custom all my previous custom colors are lost and have now inherited the dark scheme. Now with dark areas for (1) with out me being able to adjust it.

I really want “Custom” to live it’s own life, that’s the only way we can fully customize the GUI.

Another thing: If I go to customize from the Light mode and adjust the “Content Background” color to black then the icons are impossible to read:

And if I go to customize from the Dark mode and adjust the “Content Background” color to white then the icons are also quite impossible to read:

So it would be nice with an option to turn the icon modifier on and off too.
