Quite often i come across topics, read through them just to see, that they are already solved.
Topic creators
somehow users (topic creators / “owners”) rarely use - or don t know about the solution checkmark below posts:
on the front page / overview / search result page this will show a
in the listing.
Regular Users / Trust level
users with a higher trust level are allowed to change title and category of a post.
Just wanted to know if it s within the spirit of this forum to add a (solved) to a topics title - if a topic is obviously solved but no solution marked.
sample topic that is obviously solved:
seams like this does not break links:
looks like discourse links are redundant - they have both a topic id and a text
link with current title
https://discourse.mcneel.com/t/two-identical-radial-arrays-not-coinciding-solved/213225/5
old link - still working
https://discourse.mcneel.com/t/two-identical-radial-arrays-not-coinciding/213225/5
it also would be possible to add an emoji:
![]()
:white_check_mark: :check_mark:
But Topic titles are limited to 73 characters. so what to if (solved) or :check_mark: will push the length above this ?
Change rights ?
another approach would be, that the admins allow a few active users to check the solution bottom.
what do you think ?

@Gijs @jessesn
is there some McNeels who have “discourse moderator” in their job description ?
and can somehow see “yes - please do (solved) / please don 't”
thanks - kind regards - tom
