Unable to change object's display color

I’m unable to change the right sphere’s display color from part yellow to the layer’s display color.

The right sphere was created by converting the left subd sphere to nurbs. (the faces where selected and assign to yellow)

I’ve tried to select the whole sphere and changing the object properties display color.

I’ve also tried to explode the sphere and change the separate polysurfaces from yellow to the Layer’s display color. The property panel’s “display color” shows it was changed, but it still displays as yellow.

A bug (or missing feature)?

Hello - use RemovePerFaceColors. Does that do what you want?
