Dear Community Members,
Hello everyone!
I am currently working with Rhino 8, but I have encountered an issue when trying to open certain .3dm files. Specifically, the files display an error stating “some geometry cannot be read,” and the construction history table fails to load properly. This has caused the models to not load correctly, affecting my workflow.
After some initial investigation, I believe the problem may be related to updates in Rhino 8, which might have caused compatibility issues with the file format or certain features. To prevent data loss, I’ve attempted several common repair methods, such as using the “Rescue3dmFile” command and importing the file, but I have not been successful in resolving the issue.
I’m wondering if anyone here has encountered a similar situation and found effective ways to repair or open these corrupted files. Additionally, is there any version of Rhino (e.g., Rhino 7) that can successfully read and repair these files?
If anyone has experience with this or knows of any better solutions, I would greatly appreciate your insights.
Thank you for your help!
