Asking for help: Corrupt File and can't read anything

Hello Forum,

I have a Rhino 8 file that contains my floor plan details lineworks. I kept it on my portable hard disk so I could work on my home PC and my studio laptop. However, I cannot open my file today on both my home PC and my studio laptop, because “it has a corrupt group table & an unreadable geometry object & unreadable history record table.” Similar to all the other files that have linework from this file, they are all unreadable. I hope to ask if anyone can help me with this issue.

There is a Rescue3dmFile command that will attempt to recover geometry.

Autosaves go to the Recycle Bin

You can also check the folder

C:\Users\ [YourUserName] \AppData\Local\McNeel\Rhinoceros\8.0\AutoSave

renaming .3dmbak that is in the same folder as the original is also an option.
